U.N. International Day of Peace: 21 September

Climate Action for Peace

The International Day of Peace ("Peace Day") on 21 September was established in 1981 by an unanimous United Nations resolution. The Peace Day invites people around the globe to share their commitment to peace and non-violence. This year's Peace Day theme draws attention to the importance of combatting climate change as a way to protect and promote peace throughout the world.
