Consultant (f/m) Security Concept

ForumZFD is looking for support for revising, institutionalizing and implementing the security concept of forumZFD.

In order to meet its requirements with regard to safety and security, in 2017 forumZFD defined a "Security Concept Abroad" document, which defines the crisis and security conception of forumZFD, involvement, tasks and obligations of various staff (levels) as well as a code of conduct. This general concept needs a revision.

Scope of work

  1. Revising the "Security Concept Abroad" as the overall reference document for forumZFD safety and security policy as well as revision of emergency procedures and protocols in the head office in Cologne.
  2. Developing curricula for a risk assessment, risk awareness and security training with a duration of approx. 1 day in head office in Cologne.
  3. Conducting training on risk assessment, risk awareness and security in head office in Cologne.
  4. Development of general curricula for a risk and security training with a duration of approx. 3 days in country programs.
  5. Conducting a contextualized training on risk assessment, risk awareness and security, including the reflexion and adaptation of existing security standards, protocols and procedures in the country program Philippines.

Deliverables

  1. Revised "Security Concept Abroad" as well as existing procedures and protocols which meets the standards of a security concept for an organization operating in risk-prone regions worldwide.
  2. Curricula for a risk and security training with a duration of approx. 3 days (according to the program context) for country programs.
  3. Curricula for a risk and security training with a duration of approx. 1 day (according to the program context) for head office in Cologne.
  4. Risk assessment/awareness and security training for all staff members of the forumZFD in Head Office in Cologne as well as in the country program in the Philippines (including reflexion and adaption of existing security standards, protocols and procedures).

Qualification and specialized knowledge/experience required

  • Advanced university degree (Master) in psychology, social science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum two years of work experience in a conflict-prone and risk-prone country/region.
  • Demonstrated experience with conducting of trainings on issues related to safety and security in a development cooperation/humanitarian aid context.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing safety and security guidelines; etc.
