Designing and Evaluating Peace Projects
A well-conceived peace project should show a way out of situations characterised by violence and towards a non-violent coexistence. For this to succeed, strategies will be developed that take the socio-political and socio-psychological circumstances and developments into account. Violent conflict parties should also be involved in the transformation process. Knowledge and expertise from the fields of communication, negotiation and mediation are just as important here as the knowledge gained in previous conflict analyses and impact assessments.
This seminar helps to show how you can translate the results of such analyses into a successful project using models and theories of conflict transformation. You will be familiarised with appropriate tools and methods for establishing a suitable and effective project as well as for evaluating it and developing subsequent adaptation strategies.
